Ulysses Curry, Jr. has over three decades of hands-on experience including C-Suite management, underwriting, and portfolio management.. Ulysses has closed over $1 billion of structured debt and equity transactions for public and private companies, including venture and distressed enterprises.He is the Founder and Managing Director of Cogent Capital Strategies, LLC (“Cogent”), a Senior Partner with Vantera Partners (Newport Beach, CA), and an Associate Venture Fellow of VU Venture Partners (San Francisco, CA).
Ulysses previously served as a Director and Chief Financial Officer at Accuray, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARAY), and Interim CEO of ZVUE Corporation (ZVUE: NASDAQ). Ulysses has held corporate advisory roles with Cogent Growth Capital; investment banking roles with Ascendiant Capital, and served as Credit Officer with Bank of America, Citicorp, TransAmerica Capital, Xerox Credit Corp., Delage de Landen Financial, and Union Bank of California. Mr. Curry holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a BA in Economics from Bishop College in Dallas, TX, and previously held Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.
